The company AVELLANA DE WASABI from Sant Cugat del Vallés (Barcelona, Spain) has made some models for the National Museum of Science and Technology of Terrassa for the exhibition “Epidemics and pandemics. The invisible enemy. " which will be exhibited from March 30 to December 31, 2021.

This exhibition will show the evolution of the great sanitary plagues that humanity has suffered throughout its history and up to the present time, from a historical, scientific, technological and social perspective.

The exhibition will show different objects from different times that have been used for the treatment of various epidemics, among them, the pieces for which AVELLANA DE WASABI has trusted Ineo for their manufacture in TPU rubber using Laser Sintering (3D Printing, SLS ) representing cells and viruses.

TPU is a 3D printing material indicated for the manufacture of parts that can be easily compressed and flexed, with high elasticity and shock absorption. These pieces have a good surface finish with high resolution of details, its flexibility and functionality is very similar to rubber.
